Playmaker Cards

Photo Release & Likeness Consent

The cards we print feature photos of minors, so consent comes from a parent or legal guardian. This explains what you are agreeing to when you place an order.

Last updated June 18, 2026.

This is an interim draft for review and is not yet final. It is being reviewed by counsel before launch and may change. It is not legal advice.

Who this is for

Playmaker Cards produces printed trading cards from photos taken at your team's events. Because the athletes are minors, only a parent or legal guardian of an athlete may order cards featuring that athlete, and only for athletes they are responsible for.

What you consent to

When you place an order, you confirm and agree that:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the athlete or athletes in your order.
  • You consent to Playmaker Cards using the photos you select to design, print, and deliver the cards you order.
  • You understand action photos taken at an event may incidentally include other people in the background, and that your cards are centered on your athlete.

The acknowledgment you accept at checkout

At cart review, before payment, you check a box agreeing to the following:

I am the parent or legal guardian of the swimmer(s) in this order. I consent to Playmaker Cards using the selected photos to produce the cards I am ordering. I understand action photos may include other people in the background and that my cards are centered on my swimmer.

Team-level consent

Your team confirms to Playmaker Cards that the families it shares its access code with have agreed to be photographed at events and to have their athlete's likeness used for team-related products. Your order-time acknowledgment is in addition to that team agreement.

Limits on how photos are used

We use the photos you select only to fulfill your order — to design, print, and deliver your cards. We do not use your athlete's photos for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose without separate written consent. Photos of minors are stored privately and are never made public. See our Privacy Policy for how we store and retain photos and how to request deletion.

Withdrawing consent or requesting removal

If you want to withdraw consent or have a photo removed, contact us at orders@playmakercards.com and we'll help. We cannot recall cards that have already been printed and delivered, but we will stop any further use.
